Hey guys,

I'm currently building my single skin timber frame garage.

I'm laying 2 courses of engineering bricks with a DPC in-between.

The slab is going to have a DPM.

When i come to fit the timber frame onto the brickwork, whats best to put under it to seal it?

Maybe bring the dpm up the bricks and over, cut flush, then frame on top.

Or some kind of thick(?) DPC?

Or both??

Cheers!

i just built a timber frame on top of foundation blocks and the dpc is between the blocks and the sole plate.

are you saying that you have put your dpc on top of the first course of bricks?

Yes the dpc is between the 2 bricks.

The bricks are laid on dense blocks that are just above ground level.

Cheers
