We’ve had a timber frame/brick skin extension built.
We got triple glazed aluminium units as there’s a high proportion of glass to m2.
My builder is planning on simply screwing them to the frame and foaming.
I’m reading about fire rated cavity closers and insulation tape. Methods to prevent thermal bridging and airtight was around them.
I didn’t want to spend on getting triple glazed, have really thick wall insulation and then lose all of the heat around the windows.
Can anyone advise ?
