Greetings to all,
Could anyone please advise if it's possible to either add a timer controller to a Janus 3 water heater or replace the water heater with a unit that has a timer control and would be compatible with the existing Johnson & Starley JT 19-25 Mk 2 Modairflow Warm Air Unit.

Many thanks in advance.

The Janus 3 has a mechanically operated gas valve - you can't use a time clock with it.

Talk to J &S there may be an option to upgrade the circulator to one that does allow timecclock operation.

Make sure you get the water heater heat exchanger serviced properly. They block easily and are a pain to clean out. Once blocked they rapidly cook are are expensive to replace.

Many thanks for the replies.

I believe the heating unit has been serviced annually since it's installation. We bought the house last year and had it serviced then. The Engineer reckons the Janus 3 unit and the fan had been replaced within the last 2-3 years.

Cheers,
