timer instructions

hey guys hope somebody can help.

i have just moved into a house and need help setting the timer on my boiler as no instructions. its a vaillant thermocompact vu with a built in 7 day timer. think its a condensing boiler as i still have an old imerrsion/ water tank. i have searched on line to no avail also tried fiddling with it but can't seem to get it working. i have to turn off radiators and leave heating on all the time to get hot water which to me doesn't seem correct but im no plumber so could be wrong. the rads don't always come on either when opening them up. spoke to my landlord but he doesn't know how it works either.

if anyone could point me in the direction of a user guide that would be brill, all i can find online is install manual

Hi,

It's always hany to give full model numbers of things as there can be so many variations of the same model name.

Anyway, have you tried contacting Vaillant themselves?
