timer switch replaced still nt working glowworm

Afternoon - I replaced the timer clock on this boiler (see pics easicom 28) as it wasn't moving round - when I replaced with the new clock, it moved round (hour/minute hand) but the boiler didn't respond to whether the pins were up or down. Any ideas welcome ... I had it correctly on timer selection and the boiler will only fire up when I move switch to permanent.
