Tiny dead flies on the windowsil?

We often get those masses of small dead flies on our windowsill on hot, sunny days. Have been getting them for 15 years or more. Not a hint of a woodworm flight hole anywhere in our solid floor and I’ve just checked all our wooden furniture and....nothing.

That's reassuring as our bathroom is mainly wood. Fingers crossed.

post photos of the insects then we will all now.

have you taken the time to look for flight holes in woodwork?

Went into a blokes house a few years ago and spotted a wood worm Beatles which had had landed on a white painted door frame.

Before it had time to continue its journey someone had shut the door,

Splat!!

It might be worth taking bobaad''s thoughts and Googling wood worm as it may be easier comparing a tiny corpse with an Internet image than taking a usable photo yourself.

Those tiny flies can also live in the soil of plants in the house.

We used to have them on the Kitchen windowsill, there was a chilli plant the were very interested in.

Got rid of the plant and no more flies..
