Hello

I've been decorating the spare room, which did have very squeaky floorboards, so wanted to fix this problem before a new carpet goes down.

I have been fitting lots of floorboard screws and these have made a big difference, but some minor squeaks still remain which I think are coming from some of the tongue and grooves.

Do you have any suggestions please? Should I screw through the tongue and grooves or maybe would pva glue in the gaps help?

Thanks

vonsworld, good evening.

Can I suggest you have a look at the Search function, top right of this page??

It appears your question has been asked on several occasions??

One answer is to use "French Chalk" sprinkled between the boards??

Ken.
