I would like to use pure tung oil on worktop as I have read that it is totally non-toxic and produces great looking, hard-wearing results.
However because it does not contain drying agents etc it appears to take longer to apply and dry.

Liberon recommend 24 hours between coats and 4 days after final coat before using worktop.

Is it possible to apply coats quicker and
Also is is absolutely necessary to leave 4 days after final coat?

My partner is doing it while my son and I are on holiday but ideally still needs to use kitchen himself.

Please advise. Thanks.

unfortunatley yes you do need to leave it for four days after the final coat there are products around that can speed this up however they alter the finish and durability of it and you will spend a lot of time doing this all again
