Hi

I am due to get a new combi boiler and it was advised by my plumber to change my standard bath shower mixer taps to thermostatically controlled ones. I'm not keen to change the taps because they are fairly new. I discovered that there are TMV's available that control the water temperature. Will TMV's serve the same purpose as a thermostatic mixer tap? Will TMV's work with a combi boiler?

Thanks in advance.

you need a TMV2, (probably 22mm for bath, but best to check inlet pipe size) which can be fitted on an individual appliance, it will work with a combi as it measures incoming hot water temp and if too hot simply opens internally to allow cold to mix and cool outlet temp down, please note these controls should be accessible and serviced annually
