Hello peeps,

I've got a couple of walls in my living room that ideally would need plastering and maybe taken back to the brickwork first in places.
I hear a lot about putting plasterboard on the walls using the dot and dab method. What I was thinking was the possibility of fixing the boards to the wall, which is fairly flat, using plugs and screws. The only problem I can see is that it will be a heck of a lot of drilling.
Your thoughts would be most welcome.
Thanks

No need, just use dot & dab adhesive, doesn't take long to do.

i wasn't sure with dot and dab how far the board will finish away from the wall.
it is quite tight at one end of the wall. a door frame an inch thick.

You may get away with 20mm (10mm adhesive + 9.5mm plasterboard)
