To flue or not to flue..

We want to put a wood burning stove in an open firpleace, but have been getting conflicting advice.

Some say that you only need a liner if the chimney isn't sound (which it is ), but some say current building regs require one regardless.

Given that in our case the liner would be a major part of the cost (14m), it may decide whether we go ahead or not.

So can someone give a link to the relevant reg if it is required, or say if it's not

a standard 9" x 9" brick built flue will be ok.
