Hi all,

We are about to embark on an extension to our 1970s house. The current brick is 'ok' but we like the look of rendered properties and are considering having it done. We are also considering replacing the existing, tired clay roof tiles with a synthetic slate and also replacing our white upvc gutters and windows with a dark grey alternative (probably some sort of composite for the windows). Complete novice when it comes to render but wondering what people's thoughts are on it. We do have a bad moss problem on the roof at present (not on the brickwork though) which will need regular cleaning once the roof is replaced - might this damage the render?? Also is it better to go for acrylic or an alternative??
