Hi

I have a relatively new lav that has just started to constantly overflow.

I have tried adjusting the water level but the water still overflows down the internal pipe.

The only way I can stop it is to push down on the black "button" that sits on top of the filling pipe. However as soon as a cold tap is turned on in the house it starts to fill again and overflow!

I am not sure with this plastic stuff what I can adjust or change. Are the parts replaceable? Are there different fittings? How does the damn thing come apart (I can't see anything obvious to undo!) ?

Many thanks

Is this WC supplied at mains pressure?

If so, is the fill valve suitable for the pressure of your particular mains supply?

Apart from that, it's possible that you just have some debris making it difficult for the valve to operate. You could take it off and take it apart and clean it to see if that helped.

Yes it is at mains pressure, and it's near to the mains pipe in.

Could this have busted the valve.... do they come with different pressure ratings?

Silly question  how do they come apart? I can't see anything to undo. It seems to be a sealed unit.
