Toilet flush not working reliably

Does water drip constantly, non stop, or does it eventually stop ?
If it doesn't stop, replace the float valve .

Which one would you go for?

Do I need to take the whole back bit off to replace the siphon?
Butterfly and wall screws out?

If you're going to replace the Syphon, then go for the Dudley Turbo version, (measure existing to get the correct height). Turbo syphon can be split for for future repairs, saves a lot of hassle draining the cistern etc. Example, https://www.screwfix.com/p/thomas-dudley-ltd-adjustable-siphon-237mm/9756f
What’s the difference between the two?

The existing one is 23cm high.

I suspect the bottom version can be set for 6, 7 or 9 litre flush.

The example I linked to above may be slightly too tall to fit in your cistern, if you want to err on the side of caution, this one is slightly shorter at 205mm. https://www.screwfix.com/p/thomas-dudley-ltd-turbo-88-duo-flush-9-siphon-205mm/8461f
Thank you. The one you linked seems to be adjustable?

Extends from 191mm (7.1/2") to 241mm (9.1/2") to provide a convenient solution that fits most lever operated cisterns
