had new toilet fitted saturday complete with soil stack cistern fills up as norm but takes 4-5 fushes to take awy and when taken away with the normal level of water in bottom of pan sewer smell coming from the water ???

Try increasing amount of flush, ie, more water in cistern.

Does soil stack terminate in/outside?.

hi filled citern to the max just before it overflows - pipe to the rear of pan goes straight out to the wall 45 bend then in to soil stack got adjustble pipe on back of toilet then goes into small peice of 110 pipe then that fits on to the 45 then in to soil stack ???

and its all go's downhill not up.
