Hi All

Just a bit of advice please

I replaced the toilet sython yesterday after issues with flushing. the cold water connection the bottom fill valve once removed showed a good amount of PTFE tape on the plastic thread which does look cross threaded (hence the tape) and won't now tighten up. I now need to replace the bottom fill valve and was hoping to not have to replace with a lever a ball which is currently there, the problem is lack of space, any thoughts, appreciate these new designs are space saving but it really is tight, i've attached current set up, i'm sort of resigned to replaced with lever and ball

Looks very short of space for a Flowmaster, which is many people's favourite. The Viva bottom entry valve is slimmer, but still might not fit. If the existing inlet valve is a cranked one, then a like for like replacement is probably the only option.
