I have an existing waste with a pan connector on it. I need to extend it slightly and was going to use a pan extension but the pan connector will not budge. Can I put a length of 4 inch pipe into the existing pan connector and a new pan connector on the end of that?

Or is best to rip out the old pan connector, am pretty sure it wont buge though.

Had another go at removing it. Will not budge. I guess probably the best thing to do is cut the connector off and fit an solvent weld an extension on and fit a new connector?

This is an interesting scenerio. You dont often get people responsing to their own posts.

You can certainly add a pan connector onto another connector, just make sure its pushed in fully and you'll be fine. I had to do this at the weekend. No reported leaks yet.

I wasn't really answering my own question I was supplementing it with further information :D

Thanks for the help!
