ive purchased a new toilet, ( one of these partial flush fancy toilets )

nowive just opened it all up to check contents, and noticed it doesnt seem to require any overflow connection to the pipe that goes through the wall.

Im having a tiler come over in half hour, and before he arrives im wondering if i should get him to tile over the old overflow hole in the wall?

or am i missing something and ther eshould deffo be an over flow outlet on thetoilet?

The overflow is built in i.e. the water overflows and goes out the same way as the rest of the waste - same on all modern WC's. Overflow pipe therefore not required.

ahh briliant, thank you for the quick reply.

what do you reccomend i do then about filling the hole? ill take pipe out butit will need filling with something.

glad i know this now, as i would have had the tiler cut hole in tile for me :-(

Just remove the pipe, tile over inside, and put a bit of mortar/sand and cement mix on the hole outside.

Whatever you do don't fill it with Bonding plaster. Fills holes well, and sucks moisture right through!
Builders expanding foam is quite good for a quick fill. Waterproof, insulates, fills holes well.
