Hi all after advice toilet will not flush properly fills up ok but just doesn't flush it is a close coupled lever type not button was told it could be the plunger if so is it easy to replace and is there a universal one many thanks in advance for n e advice

its probably the plastic flap inside the syphon you might as well fit a new syphon or better a flapper valve or other modern flusher which will be quieter by the way it will be easier to read your posts if you use punctuation sentences and paragraphs with blank lines between them youd be surprised how much more help you get when you make it easy for people to read your question dont you agree just look at this for ex n ezr f u dnt use txspk
 
Most likely that the diaphragm in your siphon has split. Either replace the dia. by using the old one as a template to cut out a new one from a sheet of plastic (thicker DPM sheet or dry dog/cat food bags are ideal) - or buy a new siphon.

You will probably need to remove the cistern as it's close-coupled.
 
Thank you both for the advice,I have looked on tool station website and they have a flapper cistern valve, is this the item required.
