Tongue and groove floorboards in loft

Sponsored Links
Can’t see an issue as such. But they are much narrower than typical loft boards (32cm) so you’ll be doing a lot more screwing.

Also - you don’t screw directly to joists - boards should sit above the second layer of insulation.

But you will have to make more trips to the loft .Depending on spacing of joist also more offcuts .

Yea I’ll use tongue tight screws. The joists already have wooden battens on top of them so will screw to them. It is definitely more expensive and there are substantial off cuts but will try to use them elsewhere.

It’s more of a loft room so would be good to have a wood stained finish.
