Subsequent to have a new radiator fitted and also turning on a radiator that had been left off the pressure in the system dropped to zero and the boiler switched off. I used the valve next to the boiler to add more water to the sysyem but I obviously left it open for too long and the pressure is now 3. It should be 1.5.
Under one of the downstairs radiator there is a valve/tap. I've opened this and let out about a kitchen bowl full of water. This doesn't seem to have made any difference to the pressure. Should it? Do I need to drain a lot more water out in order to reduce pressure to 1.5. Or is there a better way to get the pressure down?
Any ideas?
