tool for smoothing concrete edge

Hi all,

I'm building a step on my patio. The slabs I have used (cheap ones from Wickes) have such a sharp edge that I'm wary about using them for the step especially as we have a young child.

Is there an easy way to smooth this edge slightly? Not looking to round it off completely, just take the really sharp edge off

I think I'd use a lump hammer personally.

Just use an old brick that will take the edge off

Great, thanks guys. Tried a lump hammer and it does the job perfectly.

Feel slightly stupid now!
