Hi all

After cleaning and flushing my glow worm back boiler this weekend, one of the rads upstairs has a cold spot in 1/3 of the rad. The problem is that the air is on the opposite side to the bleed valve. Tried bleeding with lock shield valve open and closed still no luck with the heating off.
Will in need to take the rad off and flush manually?
(rather not nice new clean cream carpet down 2 weeks ago  )

Is the rad level? Small amounts of air left in rad will be dissolved in time.

Something wrong there. A level rad will vent adequately out of either end to allow all of top to get hot. Perhaps the rad is still badly sludged up?

Dont think its sludge because bottom of rad is red hot , its only the top right hand corner about 6" x 6" on the return side

Must be some kind of blockage in it. Time to stain that nice new cream carpet I'm afraid!

If your rad has a plug at the oposite side to the bleed then slowly unscrew to get rid of any air.
