Hi,

I'm using the knauf space blanket (200mm) to top up my loft insulation.

I have cold water pipes that run above the joists - they are insulated..

Do I run the space blanket over the cold pipes (worried about the weight damaging them)

or

do I try and get the space blanket underneath as much as possible

or

just work around the pipes and make do with the exisiting loft insulation

Thanks
G

Ideally you should run the insulation over the pipes, this will allow any heat through the ceiling to keep the pipes aired at least. If you need to support the pipes use lathes to support them screwed to the joists.
