I am in the process of topping up my existing bog standard 100mm loft insulation with 200mm Knauf Space Blankets. This will give 300mm in all and should raise the insulation level considerably.
This product is very easy to lay being encapsulated and I assume it's thermal qualities are effective.
The eaves are ventilated so am I ok to lay the blankets as far as is possible out towards the eaves (at right angles to the joists) provided I can clearly see daylight from the vents when standing in the loft space. There is no insulation actually in the eaves but now that the roof space will be much colder I don't want to run the risk of condensation forming.
Thanks for any help
