Weellll, I'm now officially a Topps approved fitter, I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

They approached me the other day.

A sad day for my Business

What did you need to provide to be one of their approved tilers?

My local one just use to have anyones cards out but that was ages ago, havent taken much notice lately to be honest.

Do they give customers a list of approved tilers?

My mate used to be an a recommended plumber for the bathstore and he would call me in to tile etc,got a lot of work that way.

I just dropped over my headed notepaper plus my Public Liability, I believe it has to be a minimum of i don't know either £1m or £10m, can't remember, anyway, I have £10m. I signed a couple of bits of paper, T&C's, no real small print as I actually read it.

You also need to guarantee your work for 1 year.

The only clause is that the customer must buy the tiles and grout from Topps, you simply provide the labour, but can recommend which adhesive to get.

Got a single Quote to do already which is good I guess.
