Hi guys. I have bought a push button dimmer switch and it has 3 connections, Live, load and master. The wiring were this is going has a live, switched live and earth. I have wired the live to live and switched live to load but the light will not operate with push button, I have even reversed these connections but still no joy. Can someone confirm wiring is correct and I have a faulty switch, rotary dimmer and switch work fine.

Hi, i suspect you have a 'slave' dimmer ,hence 'master' connection = the input from a master unit. If it was a master unit it would have L, SL, and SLAVE connections what you have a reactive switch which controls the master unit.
