Toupret Joint skim and fill questions

I've done a load of boxing in of pipes in my hallway and it all needs jointing and taping. It's not large areas, but some of the joints are 2.4m long and maybe 15cm wide, but mostly smaller bits. I've already got the paper tape, and I have got a 5kg bag of Toupret interior filler, would there be any issues using this for the jointing and taping? Other option is to buy a bag of Toupret joint skim and fill, so if I go that route, I wanted to ask some questions first.

Some of the walls that will be taped have a vinyl silk paint on. Would it be ok so roller some Gardz on to allow it to stick better, or is sanding it to remove the sheen a better option? Already got the gardz from the last round of decorating. I've got PVA somewhere too, if that's a better bet.

Does Toupret joint, skim and fill set hard like plaster, or does is it softer like easifill? Had a lot of issues with easifill, so want to avoid that.

Does Toupret joint skim and fill crack if close to radiator pipes?

Thanks.

Joint and skim is soft when dry.
Use the powder filler you have like I do to joint.
Yeah sand the silk to key filler. Will be fine.

Re cracks on walls.... I scrape surface with tungsten scraper then seal with Gardz and cut tape to fit width.
Setting tape in scratch channel in the plaster below original surface means it can't be seen. Sometimes the bump shows from tape on surface
.

Thanks mate (y)

Yeah I had the problem with the tape bump showing last time and I had to feather it out 40cm before it looked alright. This time though, all the tapes will be close to an upright external corner, which had been skimmed a couple of times, so the corner is less than 90, so I will build it out to make it square again. Cheers.
