I have an oil powered AGA that is always on (except during a heatwave). It's used for cooking but also heats the hot water and a towel radiator in the bathroom.

I'm doing up the bathroom and so I was thinking of removing the towel rad. The room already has another normal radiator powered from the boiler CH system.

The question is, if the AGA is on anyway, is the towel rad costing roughly nothing? It's on the end of a long pipe run (about 20m) so it must be using extra oil right?

I'm not a AGA expert, but having lived, albeit very briefly, in a property with one that sounds similar to your set up, I believe that it is a system requirement as a "Heat Leak" in which case it shouldn't be removed.
