I have a braked boat trailer, about two years old. When I leave it, I usually chock the wheel and leave the handbrake off but it had been left for several months with brake engaged. When I went to move it yesterday, the brakes on one wheel was seizd in the drumv. I ended up removing the wheel, tapping the drum all round with the wheelbrace, refitting the wheel then 'rocking' it for some time. Eventually it freed off but wasted quite some time.
Is there a way of freeing a seized brake easily or was I doing it the best way?
