But going rampant and stabbing your fellow citizens is not a way to lift yourself out of poverty

There must be other underlying things going on, eg lack of education, childhood trauma, poor morals, no guidance from loving and caring parents, innate violent tribal mindset etc etc. I know people will blame mental health issues for this incident but I am sorry, cant excuse this kind of evil so simply. Locking them away for a long time at least protects our fellow citizens from them.
