Treated new teak is patchy

I bought some new untreated teak furniture this spring. I decided to use Treatex specialist teak treatment and as the furniture was expensive, took a lot of care in my preparation and application - two coats applied in succession to clean wood, a third applied later, in dry conditions.

After treatment everything looked beautiful and I could see any rain sitting beautifully on the surface rather than soaking in in the weeks afterwards, but only a month or two on it's looking distinctly patchy to me.
I've never had teak before and I do know it ages but this doesn't look how I'd imagine.

Hopefully the photo shows it up, is this anything to be concerned about? A friend used the same stuff on furniture from the same company and it looks great... Could I have done something wrong as I applied it?

I'd recommend that you contact them and ask what went wrong. The ball should be in their court. Based on what you told me, I don't see that you did anything wrong- but they are better positioned to advise further.
