I've just added to 2 coats of Danish Oil to a wood table top. The oil has dried but is a bit rough to the touch in places. is this normal, should I give a light sand between coats?

The top was dust free and I used lint free cloth to apply- so no problem there

cheers

Hi Steven

Sounds as though you've raised the grain a bit. Flat it back with something like 200/240 grit alox (aluminium oxide) paper, wipe over with a cloth wetted with white spirits (top pick-up the dust) then oil it again when it's dry
