Any suggestions as to what to use on active woodworm on the joists under our lounge would be greatly appreciated. The house is hollow, so easy access, but we need to live above it so not toxic chemicals. Thanks.

I'd spray them with a heavy dose of Cuprinol wood preservative.
That will soak in a kill a good few of the larvae. Maybe not all.

But when they eventually pupate and try to eat their way out as beetles they will be poisoned before they reach the surface.
