Hello,

I'm going to be putting some timber sleepers down as some garden edging between a fake lawn and flower beds. They're not real reclaimed timber sleepers..... They haven't been pressure treated so I need to apply some form of treatment to them before laying. What is the best type of treatment to put on these? A few products have come up in searches online such as...

Barrettine Creocote
Cuprinol 5 star Complete

OR can I just put a few coats of normal fence paint on? I'll be laying the sleepers on top of a bit of hardcore and weed membrane so there shouldn't be any direct contact with soil.

Thanks
