Hi I have recently purchased a softwood, pressure treated driveway gate and was wondering if there is a recommended treatment I could apply to further enhance its life. I was thinking of something like Sikkens but as its been pressure treated I'm not sure. Hope someone can advise.

I used decking oil on mine.
I like this stuff:

its quite runny so doesnt stick to very smooth timber -its best on sawn really.
however it gives a nice water repellant coat and is a matt finish so doesnt build up like a varnish
I used it on an iroko gate and its given it a lovely rich teak colour (it mightve been the light brown)
