One of our fence panels broke last year and we replaced it with a free one donated by a neighbour. But it was a tight fit and bows out at the bottom by at least an inch.

I suspect the posts have moved over time. I want to replace all of the fence panels but without the faff of replacing the fence posts.

If I remove the batons from one end, measure and reattach, can I just cut the excess slats?
Handsaw?
Jigsaw?
Circular saw?

(I have only a hand saw so would need to buy one of the others).
