Dear all,
I slipped today and pulled the shower hose. Now the water started coming out from the thin plastic pipe behind the house instead of the hose. Can some explain tom me why this has happened and what is the remedy? Do I have to replace the whole shower or can I replace only one part. Many thanks

That's the prd.
Have you activated the prd by pulling the hose or just dislodged it ?

You'll need to dismantle it to check if you've blown the prd or dislodged it.

I have just taken the cover off, there is nothing I can see dislodged, I believe the PRD has been activate.

is the PRD located immediately below cylinder and on the outlet white pipe where the hose is connected, it has 4 screws and 2 blow wires one connected to the shower main neutral and the other one connected to the right hand side of the cylinder

It's on the base of the cylinder but behind the outlet pipe.
the outlet pipe holds it in place.

It has only the top 2 screws that holds the outlet pipe on the heat can.
The lower 2 screws hold the outlet tco in place, don't remove them.

The 2 brown wires are on the tco they are neutrals
You should have an earth wire also on the outlet pipe

It has a small rubber ball and when excess pressure in the tank builds up
it blows the ball out.

Dear Seco services and Paulg31,
Many thanks for the your help, I have just found the black ball that goes in the middle at the very corner of the shower tray, put it back and the shower now works as before, no water coming out of the plastic tube.

I don't see how you can activate the prd by hanging on the shower hose.

I would of thought it was more likey to crack the shower outlet, as I'm guessing it's plastic.
