Can a (triton T450i) pump for an elecrtic shower be fitted in the loft space? Or does it have to be below the shower?

Thanks for your help.

yes you can if its fed from a tank.

the 450i is not a pump that is fitted to the mains.
its designed to be fitted to electric showers so they can be fed from a tank where low mains pressure is a problem.

he hasn't stated he wants it for mains water supply.
so he more likely wants to use it on a tank to freed an electric shower.

Sorry i didnt realise that was what he meant.

I would probably say that the lower the pump can be sited beneath the tank the better, I would imagine that you'd need it to be at least 500mm below the base of the tank to provide decent enough 'head'

The pump instructions should tell you the exact prefered siting but im assuming you dont have these or you wouldnt be asking

Thanks for your replies :)

So does this mean, if it's in the loft (500mm below the tank) it'll still be fine??
