Attended a job this morning, caller said he had a couple of small plumbing jobs.

Bath tap dripping, toilet not flushing and leak from shower.

The shower had water dripping from bottom of plastic cover. Told him not to use the shower and switched it off at the isolator in the hallway.

Anything else I should/could do pending its replacement by a qualified spark?

I don't think there's anything else you should do - you have given your professional advice that it is not safe to use, and that it requires attention from a qualified electrician.

You *could* attempt to make it harder for the homeowner to use it, by turning off the breaker associated with it (assuming it's on its own breaker), but you would need permission from the homeowner to do this, and since it won't really achieve much should the homeowner want to use it again, there is little point...

He doesn't need an electrician; he needs a plumber who's familar with fixing electric showers.
