Triton T80 Eletric Shower (7.5Kw) an Old Model

Hi,

Suddenly water has started pouring out of the vent/overflow plastic pipe. I sure this fault will be well documented and have a simple part exchange, I hope!!

I have looked at Tritons web page but not sure which part could be defective?

Has anyone any ideas please, as a new shower complete, which, is basically the same, will cost £140!

you need a pressure relief device (prd) but you need to find what tricked it to go most common reason is twisted hose or blocked shower head

if it the old square t80 prd's are under a tenner.

Hi,

Thanks for your advice. Not sure what caused it, but earlier in the week the water coming out turned white!! Not sure if it came from the water supply pipes or a defective part inside the heater.

is the shower still getting hot ?
apart from the prd has blown its all ok.

if not it will blow the prd again soon as you fit a new one.

Hi,

I am now away from home, so I can give no comments, but can get brother to check out any instructions!

Basically, the water flow still comes out from the bottum outlet. As soon as this was noticed it was switched off immediately!

Are you saying that heated water will exit at the overflow if it is left to run switched on normally?

Is there anything that can be done to get it going without ordering spare?

When spares are ordered, must anything be cleaned or blown thru prior to operating after part is fitted?

yes the shower will still leak from the prd until fixed.
may the white stuff you said be limescale that had been blown through etc.
sometimes when the heating elements blow they can discolour the water.
if the shower is still working and hasn't tripped the electrics i would still say its heating ok.
as heating element failing will useally trip the electrics
