triton t80s1 shower advice

i give up. i bridged the connecter as you advised and still no luck. i did a continuity check on the shower button and that seems to be ok. to make things worse, i now get a reading on mains power of 5v or so when the pull cord is on.

also, the neon light on the unit now comes on when the pullcord is off and goes off when the pullcord is on and this is without the on/off button conected :?:

Check the pullcord wiring.

Remember to isolate at the consumer unit if you start pulling wires in the pullcord.

Check for burnt damaged or loose connections.
Quite common pullcords failing giving low/no readings.

you were right, just replaced the pullcord switch and shower is now working. many thanks for your help.
