I'm trying to put up a new light to replace the old one..

I've wired the 2 blacks to the 3 neutrals from the light
I've wired the 1 switch black wire to the 3 browns from the light.
I've left all 3 reds joined alone.
I've joined the earth from the light to the earths.

Yet one of the 3 light bulbs does'nt light.

I've tried a new bulb
I've tried a new light fitting yet each time one of the 3 bulbs does'nt light.

Can anyone help. I'm sure its something simple.

Thanks.

sounds as tho your wiring is correct upto the light fitting. get a multimeter and mak sure there is power at the lamp holder

Could be eddison screw fitting, if so take a look inside the bulb holder odds on one of the contact terminals is either missing or bent so not making contact withe the bulb.

By "a new light fitting" do you mean a complete new set of lights or just the bulb holder in the first set. If you only changed the holder then you're looking for a break in either the brown or blue wire leading to that holder. One possibility is that you tightened a terminal screw onto insulation instead of bare copper. It's easily done.

Thanks for the previous help. however the same problem persists.

I've tried a complete new light, but its the same arm of the light that won't light even on the new fitting. I suppose that my only option is to buy a multimeter?
