O’bama asked the UK to support bombing Siria after it used chemical weapons on its citizens. Parliament refused on the grounds it was illegal and wrong. He put it to Congress who declined to support him for similar reasons. Barak accepted the decisions and went no further. Trumpf has stuck two fingers up to due process and consulted no one.

No, you're probably thinking of when Iran was a monarchy with an elected parliament before we and the Americans staged a coup and replaced it with a dictatorship. The Shah we installed was at least secular, but ran a brutally repressive regime.

It still wasn't perfect before the Shah then but that was probably the best it has been for actual representation.

That's one of the worst bits, Trump had managed to get massive concessions and a complete removal of the highly enriched Uranium, but his negotiating team gave up. He had won a major diplomatic victory and then decided that War War was better than Jaw Jaw.
