TRVs retaining caps

i have TRVs on my radiatiors but i have lost the retaining caps you put on the TRV top's when you take the radiator off to decorate etc.

my question is , is there a way of "making up" a retaining cap to fit over the TRV when i take the TRV top off, which will hold down and stop the water coming through when the boiler kicks in ???

Do you know what make they are? maybe the manufacturer will send you some.

I sometimes put things like that in a plastic bag and hide behind the radiator so they can get covered in fluff and forgotten about. is there a better way?

try local plumbing merchants the caps are usually left /fallen on the shelves.they are sort of universal and should fit your rad valve.
