My story.

Last week when opening closing taps (hot n cold) my pipework started to sound like a Tuba being blown, even happened when filling cisterns and was really loud.

Tried to work out why and wife mentioned could be because a guest opened hot water/cold taps upstairs and daughter was using hot water downstairs washing dishes and air got sucked in some how (we have a combi).

So on sat bought a tap from screwfix that needed to be replaced as old one was leaking, switched off the water from stopcock (2 of them, they leak as well and next is to replace them with full bore levers). Drained system, replaced taps, and refilled and hey presto sound gone and tap no longer leaking.

Just some useful info if this happens to anyone one else.
