TURN WATER OFF ON BACK BOILER

I HAVE A LEAKING HOT TAP HOW DO I TURN THE HOT WATER OFF TO FIX IT

go to the airing cupboard and find the pipe from the loft to the bottom of your cylinder, half way down should be a red gate valve. shut that then run the hot tap and it will drain till pipe empty.

thats if the tap your working on hasn't got an isolation valve in the pipework.

If that doesn't work go into loft and tie up the cold storage tank ball valve and drain the whole lot.

If the gate valve is broken replace whilst drained down.
