if i install a tv ariel at ground floor level (in a false ceiling) what sort of reception will i be likely to get...cheers

Seriously though, we can't answer that question any more than you can. It depends on whether you're in a weak or strong signal area, the construction of the ceiling and surrounding materials, type of antenna, tuner sensitivity, digital or analogue reception, and more besides.

For the sake of £15-£20 you would be best to simply buy an aerial, lash it in temporarily and see how it goes.

I wouldnt do it you said you Think its a stong signal, stuffed if it isnt, and suppose the ceiling is foil lined? stick it outside
