I am looking for a two hole basin mixer tap for a bathroom basin - do you know where to source this (checked the likes of B&Q, Plumbworld, etc.)

Not sure when you mean 2 hole basin mixer tap,did you mean 2 hole for a single tap,left & right?
 
do you mean the one that has a hole for the taps and one for the spout if so was in B&Q depot yesterday and they had one
 
I reckon the original poster will have sorted his problem out by now, or moved house
