Two tier justice, place your bets

Its our contigous zone not our EEZ.... again try and get something right, the EEZ covers fish, mineral extraction eg oil and gas
you could have googled this and learned that one sits inside the other.

Your first stated:
fun fact British territorial waters extend for 12.5 miles from shore and the migrant boat was inside that limit.
You now seem to accept this was wrong.

task the nearest vessel - Originally it was Guernsey coastguard coordinating. There was no reason to facilitate their illegal entry. Now more will try.
If I have an accident I want a trained paramedic not someone driving by on their way to a holiday in Clackton

Again the 12 mile rule is extended from the point equal distant to the other 12 mile limit of the other country that borders a shared channel, ie the middle that's why its contiguous, ie the 12 mile rule expands to fill that half space... its an extension of that space, that's how we boarded that russian tanker and did not break international law.

Why did you have to make up some nasty bubble that the RNLI and Coastguard were doing something illegal when the were'nt.

This is made up nonsense. The legal status is entirely different. Again you could have googled this.

why did you have to invent your own version of UK territorial waters, rather than admit you were wrong?

I made no accusation of illegal activity, remember that was made by Portsmouth and Southampton VTS.

The RNLI claim the boat was sinking. There was a SARs vessel in the vicinity and another not far away. There was no need for Bembridge and Yarmouth to scramble and make the 1 hour + journey other than to ferry them into UK territorial waters. Something that VTS called them out on.

better call a paramedic then.

If I am sinking I want the nearest vessel to help, not wait over an hour.

btw STCW Proficiency in Medical Care (commercial ship) is much more advanced than RNLI training.

'master bates' makes a habit of turning his ignorance into a classic self inflicted hand job ;)
glad I could educate you again. You could have googled it as well. Instead you joined Marty in his sinking ship somewhere in the sea

So is a GP’s, it’s about specialisms and skill mixes, The “nearest “ ship is not necessarily the most suitable

Thatcher's was a government legitimately elected by the British people, and was legitimately voted out by British people. The present government was elected mainly by foreigners and dole-drawers, it is illegitimate and there is no way of voting it out.
Labour would never get a majority if mainly foreigners and dole-wallers were voting for them, especially now Reform and Restore are stealing all the thick work-shy voters.
